Educational explanation — not a medical diagnosis or a substitute for your doctor

What your online ultrasound reading includes

Every report answers the three questions patients actually have: what did they find, is it serious, and what do I do next?

Plain-language summary of every finding

Terms like 'hypoechoic', 'cyst vs. solid nodule' or 'BI-RADS category' are translated into words you can understand, finding by finding.

What's routine vs. worth attention

Findings are grouped by urgency, so you know what is a simple cyst, what to monitor with a follow-up scan, and what to discuss soon.

Questions to ask your doctor

A ready-made list of specific questions based on your actual sonogram findings, so your next appointment counts.

Results in about 5 minutes

No appointment, no waiting room. Upload, and your ultrasound explanation is ready in roughly 5 minutes — day or night.

AI explanation vs. radiologist second opinion

Both have their place. We are honest about which one you need: ReadingScan explains your existing sonography report; a licensed radiologist re-reads your images and can change the diagnosis.

Best forUnderstanding your sonogram report before or after seeing your doctorHigh-stakes decisions like a biopsy or a cancer diagnosis

If your case involves a major decision like a breast biopsy or a suspicious nodule, we recommend both: use ReadingScan to understand the vocabulary today, and ask your doctor about a formal second opinion.

Not just ultrasound

The same online reading works for every common imaging exam — upload the images or the written report.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a medical diagnosis?

No. ReadingScan explains what your existing sonogram or sonography report says in plain language. It is educational support, not a diagnosis — treatment decisions always belong to you and your doctor.

How fast will I get my reading?

Most ultrasound reports are ready in about 5 minutes. You can leave the page and come back — your results are saved to your account.

What ultrasound files can I upload?

PDF sonography reports and photos of your sonogram (JPG, PNG, WebP), up to 5 files and 20 MB each per reading. Obstetric, abdominal, thyroid, pelvic, breast and Doppler ultrasound reports all work — you can combine images and the written report in one submission.

Is my health data safe?

Your files are encrypted in transit and at rest, you control deletion, and we never sell health data. Obstetric and pregnancy scans are treated with the same protection as every other file.

What ultrasound terms can it explain?

It explains common sonography language such as echogenic vs. hypoechoic, simple cyst vs. solid nodule, BI-RADS and TI-RADS categories, and Doppler flow findings. It explains findings; it does not replace the radiologist who produced your original report.
